This free printable advent calendar has easy to read text that covers the entire Christmas story from Genesis to Revelation.
Last year I spent a ridiculous amount of time searching for what I would consider the perfect Christmas devotional Advent Calendar and couldn’t find what I wanted! I finally gave up and decided to make my own! To save you time (and money) I’m giving you my printable calendar for FREE!
Here is what I created:
- A devotion for each day in December that will take less than 5 minutes otherwise it won’t happen!
- Readings that cover the ENTIRE story of Jesus! So many advent readings leave off the part about why we should care that Jesus was born and why we need him!
- Something the entire family can enjoy. I wanted something in simple enough language that my kids could understand, but not so simple the meaning of Christmas was left out.
- An advent calendar that is easy to print without wasting a ton of paper or ink!
- Text written in a font my kids can read! No crazy looking letters with lots of extra loops.
As an extra bonus:
I created this Advent calendar as a dual (or triple) reader! The text in the largest font is written for a beginner reader. All of these words are either sight words, easy to sound out words, or words that have already been read in the story. The middle size font is for a better reader. The text is still fairly simple. The bible verse on each card is written for an adult or older child to read.

Pinterest is FULL of cute ideas on how to display daily Advent reading cards. For my family, I cut apart each day and attached them to red and green cardstock. We’ll keep them in a stack on the dining room table to read together each night at dinner.
